Most people never would have guessed I would become a teacher. I was very often the student that had a hard time dragging myself out of my super comfy bed and into a hard desk before that first hour bell would ring. Although some classes were a struggle to wake up for; I had some really amazing teachers that I loved learning from. Their enthusiasm encouraged me to pursue a career in education and try to make a positive environment for my students to develop a love of learning, especially a love for learning history.
It is my goal to continue learning as much as I can about the subjects I teach and to pass a thirst for knowledge onto my students. My hope is that my students will not only pass their classes, but also enjoy the subject that they are learning about. With hard work from myself, my students, and parents, I believe we will have students that will be prepared to move on to the next phase of life outside of the classroom and hopefully be productive citizens in our communities.
In my spare time I love snuggling my baby girl and going on adventures with her and my husband. Days spent with friends and family are my favorite. We love cheering for Oklahoma State and playing with our two dogs, Gunner and Rosie.
